I was born in Kozani and i had studied economics in Athens where i had lived for twelve years that deeply influenced my way of life and character. Coming back to my home town, I had worked as a secretary in a private firm until 2012. A year ago, i started working with jewellery.  I am self–taught. On June 2014 i exhibited my work, for the first time, in Kozani’s municipal art centre.

About My Work

The materials I use are threads, semi-precious stones and old items – fragments that call me out to give them shape, a new form, somehow to resurrect them.

The humble thread leads me. I have the feeling that the thread becomes part of me, an extension of my hands. Using it, the myth of Ariadne and images of fairy tales I heard as a child, unfold and become alive in my memory once more.

The semi-precious stones, precious gifts of the earth, with their wonderful colors and energy are seeking to participate.

The old items, remnants of past times, carry memories and resist with their presence to the relentless decay of time and the impersonal massive industrial production.

My journey into the wonderful world of creating jewelry started unexpectedly one morning on March 2013 and it continues up to now with great passion and patience.

The threads are rolled by hand and each piece of jewellery unique. Every day I discover new things with them, sometimes I know in advance what I want to create, but most of the time the thread leads me, changing my original plan /thought.
